Pre-implementation application review

We test configuration, migration, and parallel-run evidence while there is still time to delay go-live.

Professional speaking with colleagues in a meeting room

Buying a new application is not the same as being ready to publish figures from it. We review the configuration against the client’s stated policies: base currency, performance method, pricing hierarchy, and the treatment of unpriced or illiquid holdings.

Migration testing is sampled, not exhaustive. We look for systematic shifts: a whole asset class that moved, a fee that disappeared, a cash account that never landed. We also read the parallel-run pack with a sceptical eye. Two matching totals are not enough if the matching was achieved by an undocumented overlay.

The report is written for the person who must sign the go-live memo. It states what was tested, what was not, and which items should be conditions of go-live rather than “phase two” promises.
