Applications that feed portfolio dashboards rarely ingest a single clean file. There are custodian extracts, broker confirms, pricing vendors, manual journals, and sometimes a warehouse that already “cleansed” the data. Lineage work makes that chain visible.
We interview operators, inspect import logs, and walk a small set of positions all the way from the source statement to the tile. The output is a control map: which step is automated, which step is a person, and which step has no check at all.
This service is often commissioned before a vendor change, after a custodian migration, or when two dashboards disagree and nobody can say which feed is authoritative.
